Blue sky, perfect clouds, sun on your back, Cracker Jacks, chanting along to the fun organ anthems– it’s all part of America’s sport. It’s about the experience- but it’s also about the game. Carrollton High School senior Cain Sauls just finished an amazing season with Trojan baseball this year- helping his team win multiple playoff rounds with his awesome first-base fielding skills. His passion and determination have surely paid off, and it’s clear that his hard work is for the love of the game. You know a player loves his sport when it’s his idea to slide head-first into home plate multiple times just to get that perfect shot with us! As the dirt (and Cain) flew towards us (and our camera), we knew we were gonna love his baseball shots, even if we broke our camera in the process (thankfully, we didn’t, haha- both Cain and our camera were “SAFE!”). 🙂 We especially loved having his dad on the field to play a little “game of catch” with his son so we could capture some fielding shots of Cain as first baseman, then act as pitcher as we photographed Cain at bat.
A bazooka- that’s slang for a good throwing arm, right? Well, Cain definitely has a bazooka on the baseball field! 😉 Of course he doesn’t have a real bazooka gun, but we did photograph him with his actual guns for a couple of hunting shots in the woods! Cain, we loved photographing all your “guns” and capturing your head-first-into-home-plate slide, and we might just chew on some Bazooka gum the next time we’re at a Braves game. Play ball!
