Summer is almost here, meaning that several different venues across the nation will be putting on their “Summer Concert Series.” Sure, you may have been to a summer concert, but have you ever been to a concert at sunset? The experience can be pretty epic, especially if you have the perfect view. When 2013 Carrollton High School senior and awesome musician Drew told us he had a tux, we knew that would be the final element to our “Sunset Concert Series” of drumming photos with him. “The shot” could be pretty “epic”– taken at sunset, in a tux, with drums and cymbals all set up for the event. What made it even more epic? Drew’s incredible sense of humor, that laid-back twirl of the drumstick, and the ever-so-NOT-subtle lifting of one eyebrow expressing more than words could. Yep- Drew had us rolling as he calmly played the drums and engaged the camera for shot after shot. He was voted “Most Musically Talented” by his peers at Carrollton High School– no surprise- but, of course, we also think he could have won “Best Sense of Humor” or “Best Personality!” From drums to guitars, rundown buildings to concrete steps- every minute with Drew was a blast! We loved getting some shots of him in his marching band uniform at Grisham Stadium, too. Oh, and the perfect way to wrap it all up? A mini shoot with his older sister, Hannah, where Drew’s hilarious expressions had his sister near tears in laughter. Thanks, Drew, for all the laughs, fun, and EPIC drummer photos!
