Football hall of fame great Vince Lombardi said “Football is like life – it requires perseverance, self-denial, hard work, sacrifice, dedication and respect for authority.” That explains why 2015 Carrollton H.S. graduate Jackson Hesterlee is great at both football and life- and we can’t forget baseball! Multi-sport athelete Jackson has been to the Georgia Dome as a State Runner-Up with Carrollton football, has a State Championship title with Carrollton baseball, and just won 3-0 in the Georgia All-State Game where he represented Trojan baseball with Head Coach Ryan Zaideman on the Northwest All-State Team.
In addition to his impressive athletic resume, Jackson’s character, integrity, respectfulness, leadership skills, and friendliness help prove Vince Lombardi’s point: Jackson excels on the athletic field, but he’s an even greater champion in the field of life. As a recent graduate, Jackson has his entire future ahead of him, and we believe his future will be filled with life’s touchdowns, home runs, and the perseverance and dedication it takes to achieve those goals in the game of life. In terms of literal sports games, we know Jackson will do just fine, too- he recently signed with Southern Union for baseball, and we can’t wait to hear about the great plays he makes in the Bison outfield! Jackson, congrats and best of luck as you work to achieve even more success in sports and life. Go Bison!
